Using the Company Portal app, you can open the Safari web view and retrieve your personal recovery key. This option is not available for devices that you've personally encrypted. Your device that has the personal recovery key must be enrolled with Intune and encrypted with FileVault through Intune. You can retrieve your personal recovery key (FileVault key) using the Company Portal app for iOS. Get recovery key from Company Portal app for iOS For contact information, check the Company Portal website. If a key isn't found but your device is properly encrypted, contact your organization's support person. To see the key again, select Get recovery key. On any device, sign in to the Company Portal website and select the Menu button > Devices.įor security reasons, the key will disappear after five minutes. It's not available for devices that you've personally encrypted. This option is available for devices that were encrypted by your organization using FileVault. Get recovery key from Company Portal website If you forget your device password, you can sign in to the Company Portal from another device to retrieve your key. The destination log directory path where this data is stored and accessed from is %localappdata%\SaRALogs\UploadLogs.Use the Company Portal website to get a recovery key for your locked macOS device. The table below provides information such as scenario type, data collection source, data collection path and data collection files. To know more about what log files are created by the Support and Recovery Assistant, search for your scenario in the table below under the “Scenario” column and view the relevant information in the same row. If you are unable to sign in, your log files will not be sent to Microsoft. Note, if you are not signed into the Support and Recovery Assistant when you click Send, you will be prompted to sign in.
The following image is an example screen where log files are collected during a scenario and there are options to view the log files and to send the logs to Microsoft.
The only time you would want to send log files from the Support and Recovery Assistant to Microsoft is when you are working with Microsoft Support and the log files need to be reviewed. When you run a scenario in the Support and Recovery Assistant, some log files may be created and you will be given an opportunity to send these files to Microsoft.
